We make constant investments in process optimization, technology, and training to guarantee adherence to both domestic and foreign laws. To foster a proactive safety culture, our team regularly participates in environmental awareness initiatives and safety exercises. Every aspect, from risk assessments to emergency response plans, is meticulously handled to avert mishaps and reduce environmental damage. Furthermore, our quality control procedures are included into each phase of our business operations, guaranteeing dependability and uniformity in the provision of services. Safety, sustainability, and operational excellence are the cornerstones of everything we do at Fle Logistics B.V., not just objectives.

Environmental Sustainability

Everyday it is becoming clearer that the climate is changing and the large scale of combustion of fossil fuels is massive contributor to the greenhouse gas effect. The transport sector is responsible for a significant share of these emissions. We as Fle Logistics B.V. see that we should take responsibility and take a forward looking environmental policy. As our valued customers embark on their own journey in the energy transition, we recognize our responsibility to provide them with a sustainable and environmentally-friendly supply chain. To fulfill this commitment, we have strategically implemented measures aimed at minimizing our greenhouse gas emissions.

Reducing emissions

In comparison to our base year of 2019, we have set the ambitious goal of reducing our CO2 intensity per ton-kilometer by 25% by 2025. Our long-term goals, which include becoming completely climate neutral by 2050, are in line with the Paris Agreement. Reaching these goals is difficult in the logistics market of today. We are certain that we can accomplish our objectives and surpass rivals in terms of sustainability thanks to our drive, ingenuity, and strong dedication to sustainable logistics.

We invest heavily into alternative fuels and methods of propulsions for our own trucks such as Hydrated vegetable oil (HVO), Liquid biogas (LBG) and electric trucking. With our suppliers we make sure that alternative fuels for deep sea shipping become available. All the while, we heavily invest in intermodal shift in the regions where this is possible. Each mode of transportation utilized, other than trucking, contributes to significant CO2 emission reductions.

Future in fuels

Our Scandinavian operations are using a variety of vehicles that run on Liquid BioGas (LBG) in an effort to create a more environmentally friendly future. Our first electric truck is currently in service in Rotterdam. We work hard on HVO for Shell and Huntsman in the Rotterdam region, and through our insetting project, we are making HVO accessible to the majority of our clients. We collaborate with our shipping partners to ensure that our logistics network incorporates their sustainable options as well. Our continuous efforts to increase operational efficiency and lower CO2 emissions are continuously yielding positive results.
